The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is one of the six departments functioning in the PES College of Pharmacy at hanumanthanagar Campus.
The department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry was the first department in PESCP to start M.Pharm, Accreditated by NBA-AICTE and is elevated to a level of approved research centre for the award of Ph.D. The Department offers undergraduate and Post graduate education in Pharmacy. At the undergraduate level[D.Pharm] the department trains basic level pharmaceutical Chemistry. At the graduate level, the Department offers Organic , Inorganic pharmaceutical Chemistry and medicinal Chemistry in four levels. The M.Pharm degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry may be completed with a research-based thesis in two years. Thousands of B-Pharm graduates from India and abroad and more than fifty M.Pharm’s have left the portals of the department bearing with confidence of having acquired the best training in pharmaceutical chemistry and all of them are doing their very best in whichever assignments they are part of.
The Six full-time faculties in Pharmaceutical Chemistry are committed to providing the highest quality teaching and research. The students of the department have the opportunity to work with departmental faculty, carrying out research projects at the forefront of chemical, and biochemical research. Postgraduates often publish their research in peer-reviewed journals as well as present their work at national meetings. Several research papers have been published / Presented by the faculty in reputed National and international journals and seminars / conferences; the department is well equipped to impart excellent education in synthetic pharmaceutical chemistry.
The Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department is housed in the modern building and has advanced laboratory facilities for research and teaching.
