PES Institute of Technology (PESIT) was started in 1988 as the first engineering college under the PES Group of Institutions.  About Department of Telecommunication Engineering

The Department of Telecommunication Engineering was started in 1999 with an objective to help the students keep abreast with the current trends in the field of Telecommunication Engineering. It offers a variety of subjects in the principal domains of Communication & Networking, Electronics and Signals & Systems. The research activities of the department in these domains are driven by highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty. The Center for Multimedia Systems and Center for Intelligent Systems aid in incubating novel ideas and inculcate a desire for excellence in research. The department is recognized as a Research Center by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
